Scottish Folklore Suite Sheet Music

      Scottish Folklore Suite was written and premiered in 2023.

     Riko's composition tutor, Andrew Toovey, suggested that she write a suitable piece for a recital at the Conservatoire. So it has a fair amount of technical challenge. It tells stories.  

     Riko moved to Scotland 25 years ago because she fell in love with the beautiful countryside and the culture, including music and folklore. This piece tells about them. The first movement is Selkie, the second is Kelpie, and the last is Wee Nessie.  It is a recorder solo piece with a delay pedal, but it can be played without a pedal.
