Biography
 Riko Suzuki is an award-winning composer, recorder player, and educator. After graduating from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2025, she is currently studying towards a master’s degree in recorder performance under Annabel Knight and Chris Orton, alongside composition studies with Andrew Toovey

 Riko won the RBC Recorder Prize 2024, the Doris Newton Music Club Prize 2024, and the LDJ60 Compose Perform Film Prize 2025 for both Composition and Performance.

 Riko has performed with the Baroque Orchestra under the direction of Lucy Russell at RBC, and the Recorder Consort at the Cheltenham Music Festival.

 In the summer of 2016, she took a summer composition course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and studied with Oliver Searle and James MacMillan.
 
 Riko's compositions have been published by the American Recorder Magazine and Recorder Magazine in the UK.

Her home is in Glasgow where she has 2 children and sings with St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral Choir. 
She teaches piano, theory and recorder.
